Chapters 19 - 23

What do you think it was like for Frita and Gabe when they were not friends anymore? Have you ever had a disagreement with a friend that resulted in the same way? How did it make you feel?

  1. I would imagine that Frita and Gabe both felt lost without each other. When you are used to doing everything with a special friend and then not having that person around, it really feels like you have lost a piece of yourself:((((

  2. We both know how it feels to be lonely. That's the main feeling we think Gabe and Frita experience during their "falling out." As an adult, I have had grown apart from friends. The great thing with true friends is that when you finally have time to be together again, you pick up where you left off. I think this is the case for true friendships exclusively; it's not the same with acquaintances. Julia says that as a kid, after she had a "friend issue" with people she thought were true friends it took her longer to forgive, but with her actual true friends she thinks the healing process would be quicker.

  3. I absolutely agree with both of you. True friendship is definitely what I strive for and the relationships I protect the most. Thank you both for sharing and participating in the book club:)))
